Question about 24W wall adapter
im buying a 24W wall charger adapter from Anker for my iPhone 6, and I'm wondering if it will charge fast but not damage my phone battery at all? Cause it's a big change for wall adapter watts for me.

So just making sure, I know the default iPhone charger wall adapter is 5W, and even a iPad charger is 12W, but this is 24W and it won't impact my battery or phone in any negative ways? Even with how fast it claims to charge it?
The wattage is only relevant if it's too little to supply the battery. It may well charge the battery faster, but that does not damage the battery as long as the battery is not overcharged. Just be sure the charger has overcharge protection.
Note that using a non-Apple charger outside of Apple specs could void the warranty if the device becomes damaged.
So you're saying that obviously it can be not as good over charging past 100 percent, but it doesn't matter how fast it gets there? It won't cause any harm? Here's the link to the product if you wouldn't mind looking it over to make sure it's all good for a iPhone 6: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-PowerPort-Foldable-iPhone/dp/B012WMWPJW
That is what I am saying. However, a caveat is that not all L-Ion batteries can be rapidly charged, so you should be sure to keep an eye on the battery condition just in case. I cannot recommend that you use any non-Apple charger with your Apple devices nor use anything that is non-Apple approved or not constrained to Apple's specs. Apple's warranty makes it quite clear that doing so can void the warranty.
If Anker certifies the charger can be used with an iPhone, then you can accept their assurances. They are reliable.
Alright, I think I'll just order a Apple 12W charger adapter for it Instead of going the huge 24W from a third party seller. Apple's 12W iPad charger adapter is totally safe and recommended for iPhone 6, with the fast charging and no harm right? (Last question I promise 😁)
All iPhones through the 5S would charge at 1 amp (5 watts) regardless of the capacity of the power source. However, the 6 and later can charge at 1.5 amps (7.5) watts if the power source can supply at least 7.5 watts - even though the phone ships with a 5 watt adapter. It will only do this through 75% state of charge; after that the charging current is gradually reduced to prevent overcharging, and all charging stops at 100%. Because of the tapering charge current a higher capacity adapter will only shorten the charge time by a small amount (perhaps by 15 minutes), so it doesn't much matter which you use unless 15 minutes is important to you.
Yes, that is correct. Going with what Apple recommends avoids any future issues should they arise. Better safe than sorry, I believe.
It should not cause any damage to the phone.
Thanks for the help! 🙂
My pleasure. 🙂
