cut out a section in middle of photos video

I have a video clip in Photos and want to cut out a section in the middle. I can trim from each end but don't know how to take out a section in the middle

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

For that type of movie/video editing you'll need to use iMovie. Quicktime Player 7 with Quicktime Pro or other movie editor of your choice.

that is not possible with Photos - you need video editing software like the current version of iMovie or other
