Q: Macbook is syncing with family member's iphone not mine

I just got a new Macbook. We have about 8 devices on my Apple ID (4 phones, 2 ipads, a couple old devices), and even though I only selected my personal email and iphone number for messages, I am getting a notification in the left hand bottom corner every time my husband goes on his phone-- it shows if he is texting, if he is on a website, etc. I would obviously prefer this to link to MY phone, not his. Any help is appreciated!
