Q: lost photos in iphoto

Hi,

 

I still can see the photos preview in Iphoto but they cannot be opened/ shown when I double click them.

How can I recover those photos?

    Are you current with your OS X version?  El Capitan was released last autumn.

     

    The Photos app has been the latest maintained photo-handling app for almost a year and a half now.  Have you switched to the Photos app?

    We need details

     

    What version of the OS and of iPhoto? What exactly happens and what exactly do you see? What has changed since it worked? Have you cleaned up your system either using the finder or Malwear like CleanMyMac, MacKeeper or other bad software?
