As seen in the screenshot, how do I get rid of the red box and make these very thin clips back to original so I can edit them properly? Thanks!
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015)
CClick in the viewer press Shift-Z. Click in the timeline press Shift-Z. Both are resize to fit. Zoom into the timeline as needed.
I did get rid of the red box, but I cannot "unslice" the thin clips...
Click the + button, does that work?

That half works, because it did horizontally stretch it, but did not fix the vertical stretch. Still impossible to edit.
Popup button in the lower right. Clip appearances. Change the track height. Need to spend a little time learning the basics of the interface.
