Aug 9, 2016 2:14 AM in response to tufromnyby den.thed,★HelpfulThe CPU usage in your EtreCheck report is low, so I do not think that is the problem. I could be wrong, but if the fan is only speeding up during video usage...? Then I also might suspect that the fan is running faster to help control the graphics temperature.
Personally I would...
1. Shutdown and check the the air-intake on the back to make sure that it free from foreign objects or dust.
(if the vent is caked with dust, I would gently vacuum it off while the computer is shut-down and disconnected from the power)
2. Make sure that the iMac is in a cool and well ventilated area.
(If not, then I would try moving it to a cooler area of the house)
Then if the problem still persist...? I would seriously think about making a service appointment ASAP.
