iOS iPhone iCloud Reminders app Syncing issue

I have iPhone 6s Plus 64 GB with iOS 9.3.4

Since iOS 9, My iPhone reminders in Reminders app completed task not syncing perfectly with iCloud.

When I tick the Scheduled reminders as completed, it disappears and come back after few minutes !!.

What I do every day, switch the iCloud off with deleting the reminders from the iPhone, then switch it on again. The problem come again after 10 AM daily.

Apple support suggest to delete the reminders and add them manually. I find it is hard for me because my reminders lists and tasks is too long !!.

Please any solution ?

1. check if your data is under apple limits

iCloud: Limits for Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Bookmarks - Apple Support

2. Verify that you have enough storage in icloud.

3. Sign out of icloud and sign back in merging everything on the iphone.

How can I know if I exceed the limits ?

I have 11 GB free in my iCloud account.

If you do not see any concerns in the article, you probably are not exceeding limits. Verification can only be done with Apple on the phone though.

Have you checked at iCloud.com/Reminders to see if the reminders are syncing correctly?

The reminders are syncing correctly.

but the time zone was different than my iPhone. Now I changed it to match my local time zone at the iPhone. I hope that fix the problem.

by the way, I use the Reminders App in my MacBook Pro and my iPhone.

I tried before to switch off the iCloud in my iPhone, and managing the reminders from the MacBook Pro Reminders App it was work perfectly.

I will see until tomorrow if matching the time zone fix the problem.

Hi

Matching the time zones doesn't solve the problem. Still get the same problem.

I know there is problem with iCloud Reminders in my iPhone only.

I tried before to backup and restore the system. nothing solved.

Please any other solutions ?

Clarification question - are the reminders syncing to iCloud.com correctly or not?

Try a reset.

Yes it is.

I reset it in the morning and solve the problem. I will wait until tomorrow to make sure.

By the way, the rest doesn't solve the problem 😢

The problem came back after few hours, the completed tasks pop up again.

Another clarification question - when the reminders come back, do they show as completed or uncompleted? As you complete them, do you delete them?

It shown as uncompleted. and sometime there is a duplicate at the top of it shown as completed.

For Example:

x Buy Egg (Completed)

Buy Egg (Uncompleted)

Note: some of my reminders are repeated daily,weekly or custom repeat.

No, The completed reminders I don't delete them immediately. it stay for some days and I select them all to delete them from my Mac when they reach large number.

I've been having the same issues. My iPhone won't sync reminders from the Mac App, yet they show up at iCloud.com just fine. I have to force a sync by placing some reminder on my phone, then waiting a few minutes. I've tried signing out of iCloud, turning off reminders, etc. but no luck.

I really do not think you have the same issue. Yours is simply fixed by restore of the phone and setup as new. Just reset network settings may fix your problem as well. Your phone is stopping uploading reminders when there is some connection problem, but when forced it still uploads. OP's problem is deeper and looks like there is a second source for his reminders, but without knowing all of his app and programs on the phone and mac there is no way to eliminate. So he probably stuck with it, until he finds himself what is doing those 10 o'clock updates for him.

OMG !! You are right, I found that one of the App on my Mac and iOS was making the problem 😟

First I check all my apps that could use the Reminders App.

Then I check my iOS on Setting > Privacy > Reminders ,I found nothing

I decide to check my Mac and I found that Airmail 3 App is using my Reminders App and it is already synced with my Airmail App on iOS through iCloud. I switch it off and wait until 10 AM next day.

Until now everything working fine 😍
