Q: Xserve Intel 2006 lights flashing

I have a Intel 2006 xserve that was working fine before I brought it home and since then every time I try to boot it up, it doesn't show anything and the fans go crazy. How to fix this? thanks!

have you reset the SMC?
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

also, there is a bright red light coming from the back somewhere. I have it opened up.

The bright red LED is normal.

Did you try resetting the SMC as Jimmy suggested?

Is the enclosure locked? (I'm guessing not since you've opened the chassis, but it's worth asking.)
