Q: Stationary Problem In El Capitan Mail

I created a mail message that I send to a customer, every week.

I selected File -> Save as Stationary...

I entered a name for the stationary.  I saved this.

I started a new mail message.  I selected the stationary that I had created.  This action populated all of the fields, except for the content.  This is a reproducible problem.

I have searched the web and the Apple website for more information.  Surprisingly, I found very little help.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

    Hello Kurt,

You can open that file from Terminal in textEdit:

    open -e ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Application\ Support/Mail/Stationery/Apple/Contents/Resources/Custom/Contents/Resources/MY_C USTOM_NAME.mailstationery/Contents/Resources/content.html

By the way, html code generated by textEdit looks much better organized then those from saved stationary. So you could save stationary, open it's content file in textEdit and simply edit it to your liking, and it should work properly afterwards.

And yes, I've tested all this on Sierra.

My bug report was deemed a duplicate of 7079502, which is still open. So that's all for now, folks. It's a bug, there's a workaround, and we'll have to wait for Apple to correct this problem in an upcoming release.
