Aug 8, 2016 8:18 AM in response to davidfrombrookdaleby JimmyCMPIT,it's not iTunes, it's the device. you will likely be unable to restore it until you can fix the issue on the iPod itself

Aug 8, 2016 8:42 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby davidfrombrookdale,I tried resetting the ipod according to those directions. I'm still having same issue. The restore seems to succeed. It seems to fail after the restore when it is restarting. To system log:

Aug 9, 2016 11:03 AM in response to davidfrombrookdaleby GuyThatFlies,Try a manual reset.
Disconnect your iPod completely and turn the power switch to 'off' position then wait 5 seconds and then put the shuffle switch the option other to the one it was on before.
This works for second generation, I don't know what the other generations do but I'm sure you'll be able to find them on the apple support pages.
Hope this helps,
Guy
P.S. If you could shed any light on my issue, it'd be greatly appreciated, it's here: iPod Shuffle. Weird issue
