local error -1200 push certificate

Hi folks. Mac Server, warnings about certificates expiring. Here's the procedure to get rid of them:

This is caused by old certs that clung to devices. Even though it’s turned off, the warnings still come through.

- Go to Server.app/Server name (at top, left side)/Settings

- Turn on “Enable Apple push notifications” and Edit them.

- Renew the Certs

- Turn off “Enable Apple push notifications”

- Quit Server.app

I'm getting a local error (-1200) creating the push certificate request. Maybe because I manually removed the certs. Anybody know what's happening?

Any insight appreciated. Cheers

If you go back and replace all your certs in Time Machine, then use Server.app to bounce around renewing and replacing, then things will come back to life. The warning emails that I got (multiples for some reason), all go away.

Ya, Server is a horrible product as the GUI doesn't really satisfy anybody's needs.

There's a PDF for Command Line Interface (CLI) commands for OSXServer, that might help with this issue. To be honest, I wouldn't mind just using the CLI for all of this stuff, instead of that clunky interface. The CLI has done nothing but introduced horrible things. So much so I've moved to a new web interface, which has now disallowed me to even see my own web servers from the LAN.

So the solution is to use the Server.app to renew and tweak until the emails stop, THEN deleting the old expired certs.

Good luck.
