You can't link the backup to a new Apple ID.

Hallo,
migration from an old iPhone to a new one via iTunes-backup seems to be really easy.
One question I have anyway:
When the old phone was linked to an Apple-ID, is the new one linked to the same Apple-ID after migration automatically?
What I have to do to link the new phone to a new ID?
Thanks in advance.
ervau
if you're referring to restoring your new phone from an iTunes backup, then yes, it will link to your apple id and will ask for your credentials.

you can't merge apple ids, so if you use a new apple id on your new phone, just remember apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it, so you will need to enter those credentials to update apps.

Aug 8, 2016 11:36 AM in response to ervauby sberman,As you can see here, if you choose to use a backup to set up your new iPhone, you are then asked to enter the (old) Apple ID.
Get started with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
This makes sense, because everything stored on the backup is associated to that Apple ID. You cannot, for example, use apps or iTunes music purchased on an Apple ID with a different Apple ID. The purchasing Apple ID owns the apps and music.
If you want to share objects, that is a different story and should be handled independently of transferring to a new iPhone.

Aug 9, 2016 2:31 AM in response to ervauby ervau,Ok, let me explain the whole story:
There's somebody who's old iPhone was set up by her friend using his Apple-ID. He also bought some apps on his ID. I know that updating these apps only is possible using his ID or buying them under the new ID; but that's not my question.
Now she has a new iPhone and she likes to have her own Apple-ID to set up the new phone keeping all the data/ settings (contacts, messages, mails, mail accounts, facebook etc.) from the old phone.
Is it possible to "unlink" the old phone from the old Apple-ID (similar to "what I have to do when I like to sell my phone" except restoring to factory settings), than making a backup, restoring the new phone from that backup linking it to the new Apple-ID before or after restoring?
Will that work? Or are there other procedures to get the same result?
We only like to avoid to set up the new phone "from the bottom".
Thanks ervau

Aug 9, 2016 7:55 AM in response to ervauby sberman,In my opinion, it will be much easier and safer to set up the new iPhone "from the bottom", as you say.
A mistake would be much less costly in terms of future impact.
Set up the new iPhone as new, and then inspect the old iPhone to transfer the mail, Facebook, etc. settings.
You will have to set up, for example, iMessage and FaceTime using that new Apple ID. You do not want to mistakenly bring over any of that from the old iPhone.

This should've been your original post, so that way there wouldn't be any confusion as to what exactly you or your friend wanted to do.
