Hello I have a 27" Cinema Display Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 mb graphics attached via thunderbolt connection on to my Early 2011 MBP with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
A few days ago I did the latest OS X El Capitan update and a day later my Cinema display went to about half brightness.
What I've tried;
-No brightness control via bluetooth keyboard.
-No brightness control via a USB keyboard.
-I no longer have an option for brightness slider control in Display preferences.
I've tried this with the MBP display open. I've tried gathering displays. I've tried restarting the MBP. No luck.
-I downloaded the EDID display reset program and it doesn't detect my display so I'm not able to restart i
I believe I'll have to once again take my cinema display into Apple, we're averaging once a year with our Cinema display.
