Q: iBooks file storage location
Hey, guys.
I need to know where both iOS and OS X store the files accessed by iBooks on the respective platforms, as not only has it moved since the separation of iTunes and iBooks, it has moved since iBooks added “iCloud Syncing”.
This is ******* unacceptable. Do you hear me? Not only are you hiding my own files from me (and have artificially made editing metadata impossible), TIME MACHINE DOESN’T EVEN BACK UP THE FOLDER ANYMORE. I had to clean install OS X and lost EVERYTHING that was in my iBooks library.
The files remain on my iOS devices, but syncing them with my computer would just delete them. iBooks, for whatever ludicrous reason, doesn’t let you SEND YOUR FILES ANYWHERE. Not e-mail, not copying, not messages, etc. Not even PDFs, never mind ePub, and not even files YOU PUT IN OR CREATED YOURSELF, much less iBooks Store files.
WHERE ARE MY FILES and HOW CAN I GET THEM FROM MY iDEVICES BACK TO MY COMPUTER?
There’s no way to turn off the “iCloud syncing,” either (which doesn’t work), so do you want me to go back to not using iBooks at all?
Thanks.
