I bought a second hand iphone and am using it on Consumer Cellular currently in PA. I want to take it to Spain for 3 months and use a Spanish sim card. My carrier says they can't unlock the phone because it was bought through Apple , it was a replacement for a broken Consumer Cellular phone. But Consumer Cellular is telling me that all iphones are unlocked to use internationally. I need to know if this is accurate before I leave for Spain. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Apple has nothing to do with unlocking cell phone, only the carrier that the phone is locked to is authorized to unlock in your case that would be Consumer Cellular assuming they offer unlocking.
No an iPhone are unlocked to use internationally.
