Q: image capture

I am running El Capitan 10.11.6 OS and for some reason Image Capture no longer allows me to output scans in JPG format; my only choices now are pdf, png and tiff. Anyone have a clue what is going on?

If you have the Kind setting set to Text, then you will only get TIFF, PNG and PDF as shown.

So change the Kind setting to Colour or Black & White so that you can select JPG.

Have you checked the dropdown Format menu to see if JPEG is offered?
