Q: ios 9.3.4 battery issues

I am using iphone 6 plus running ios 9.3.4. Ever since installing the 9.3.4 update. battery drains pretty quickly. Tried different settings going to low power mode. Changing the mail setting to Fetch. Turning off location service, Background refresh for all apps. Phone gets hot as it drains battery very quickly. I had same issue during the 9.3 update. had to reset and reinstall from scratch.

Please help as i do not want to reset my phone one more time.

Same issues here.  After the iOS 9.3.4 I can actually watch the battery drain.  I followed the solutions presented here with no impact.

    The Steps I tried were

    • reset network settings
    • powering off all devices using iCloud
    • logout / re-login to iCloud
    • soft resets
    • restoring from backup
    • turn flight mode on

I've got a genius appointment this Sunday, but my phone is two years old and I imagine that I will be told to buy a new phone.  It was working without issues prior to the 9.3.4 update.

As a follow up here I did a walk through on a call with Apple support and noticed that while I had Mobile data on, Roaming Data was off.  I turned this to on.

I also turned off Background refresh for everything and then turned it back on again.

One of these two things has had an effect as my battery level has sat on 66% for the last hour. If it is still operating well in 24 hours I let people know.

One of the two things above fixed my battery issue!

Battery is no longer draining. Hope this is helpful to others.

    Apple replaced my iPhone 6s.

    It's back to normal now.

    Thanks Apple
