Q: Email won't send on iPhone 6 and iPad Pro since 9.3.4 upgrade

I have 5 email accounts set up on both devices. Two Gmail, an Apple and two generic IMAP accounts associated with my web provider.

Ever since updating to iOS 9.3.4 one of the generic accounts refuses to send email, but still receives.

I've done everything suggested in Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch multiple times.

I've changed the email password multiple times and had the web provider check for blocked IPs and other issues their end. Nothing works.

The fact it has occurred on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Pro but not my desktop leads me to think it is something to do with the iOS.

Of course of the 5 email accounts I have the one that is broken is my main business address (Murphy's Law) and I NEED this fixed as soon as possible. I am constantly on the road and need to use the iPad and iPhone for business emails.

Please help and don't suggest Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch page.

Well by the looks Apple support won't be helping us anytime soon.

One week later and I am still unable to send any work email from my iPhone or iPad and I've had zero response.

this is a user to user technical forum, user who volunteer their time to respond to post.

The link you provided also states to contact Apple support have you done so?

Also the issue is probably more  with your email provider than Apple and your iPhone, I assume they've already told you to delete and reinstall the email account.

Usually when you can't send and email is because you don't have a password for your outgoing mail server.

I Discovered that I can send an email if I do it straight from the mail app, but if I try to send from the camera roll or any other app it will just sit in the outbox.   This all started right after the update.

    Hi Razmee

Yes Apple has been contacted and yes I have checked the outgoing password, although that is a good tip for Tompos.

There is a password required for incoming and outgoing mail servers on iOS where there isn't on OSX.

As I said I have two email addresses with the same provider one of which is working perfectly and the other which is not. I have had the provider check everything there end and they are stumped - the settings are almost identical across both emails and there are no IP blocks.

I have done everything suggested in Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch which includes deleting and reinstalling. I've been setting up mail accounts on iOS since iPhone 2 so I know my way around pretty well and I just can't see what the issue is. So frustrating.
