Sorry, but you cannot "lock" a folder on the Time Capsule. That would be true for either its internal hard drive or for an external hard drive attached to its USB port.

Basically, you cannot set permissions on individual files or folders on these disks, nor can you set them on different partitions on these same disks.

What you are able to do is one of the following:

• Share out everything on the drive to everyone using a disk password.
• Share out everything on the drive to everyone using a device password. This is the default setting.
• Share out everything on the drive by individual. Each individual can be provided with Read and Write, Read Only, or Not Allowed access.
