I have encountered some issues with the Mail app recently. I can not send email from hotmail but I can receive them. I have checked the password which is correct and that works on the web version, but not using Mail app on iPadpro. What setting should I use to make it work please?

Have you checked the send mail settings for the account, particularly SSL and the port number? Look up the correct values on the Hotmail site and enter them. The parameters may have changed since you created the account.
Has your hotmail account been upgraded to use the new sync protocol? You can check by going to webmail & if it says Outlookmail then it's been upgraded.
You'll have to delete the account & recreate it to get the new protocol if Apple mail supports it or use the imap settings if it doesn't -
