Hi all,
I use iPhone 5s while using Whatsapp I am unable to use icons or smilies but my friends are able to do it i can see the icons but I am not able to add it myself i don't see any icon gallery or else, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone to the latest software:
Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
And also to update WhatsApp Messenger to the latest version:
App Store > Updates tab
