Aug 9, 2016 6:02 AM in response to skeets1640by Winston Churchill,2 things might be happening here, we need you to try to assess which it is.
Either the playback is stuttering because the download is too slow or it isn't actually stuttering but you keep losing connection between the Apple TV and the TV.
Does the screen go blank.
Does the progress bar appear at the bottom of the TV.
If you manually pause the movie for a minute or so and start the playback again, does the same thing happen.

Aug 9, 2016 6:34 AM in response to Winston Churchillby skeets1640,The screen doesn't go blank. No progress bar displayed. If I pause it the same thing seems to happen. It just like stutters flashes the 1080p sign in grey at the top of my tv screen then plays again but it keeps happening a lot.

Aug 9, 2016 7:20 AM in response to skeets1640by Winston Churchill,I'm not 100% sure but it sounds like there's a chance it could be a connection problem.
1. Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both ends.
2. Try disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
3. Try another HDMI cable.
4. Try the Apple TV with another TV

Aug 9, 2016 8:44 AM in response to skeets1640by Diana.McCall,Please note that the 1080p sign you describe is coming from your TV, not the ATV. As Winston says, it sounds like ATV is disconnecting and reconnecting, since that's when TVs normally display the video mode.
