Siri pronounces my town, Brookline (in Massachusetts) as Brooklyn (last syllable as in the girl's name Lynn) but the last syllable is correctly pronounced line, as in a straight line. Is there a way to teach it the correct pronunciation of a city? I know how to teach it to pronounce my name correctly, but can't find any way to change its pronunciation of a city/town.

Siri can be taught to pronounce words by invoking siri and saying "that's not how you pronounce it", "...say it"

How do I get Siri to say "Brookline" so I can tell it that's not how you pronounce it? It seems to only want to say and correct the pronunciation of my name but I can't get it to pronounce a specific word, or my city's name, no matter how I try to get it to do so. And why should I go to Brooklyn since the Dodgers moved out a long time ago?

I would try to ask directions to Brookline MA and after she says it incorrectly try to invoke it. I have not tried this feature on locations, it appears to work in contacts and it may be limited to contacts. If that is the case you can give feedback to apple using the URL

Re your second question, many of the photos at your link have captions that were taken at Brooklin, Maine, not at Brookline, Massachusetts.
