Image Quality by MacBook Air vs. Pro

Hi there

I just bought a MacBook Air 13'' and I had a MacBook Pro 13'' (non-retina) till now.
If I compare the image quality between Air and Pro there's a difference in contrast and sharpness of colours. The monitore setting are the same on both Macs, the Air is even supposed to have higher resolution (1440 x 900 instead of 1280 x 800 on MacBook Pro). Graphic card is Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB vs. 4000 in my MacBook Pro.

Does someone know if there's a difference in the display technology of both computers or if that could be a problem in my Macbook Air?

Thx in advance and regards

LCD different between Pro and Air. Not sure which panel is better, though.

How to know which makers panel is used:

open Terminal.app, then type:

ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | perl -E '$str = do { local $/; <>; }; say for $str =~/([x20-x6f]{6,})/g'

If printed string is start with "LP" it's a infamous LG made LCD panel.

If "LSN", it's a Samsung made one,

If "AU", it's a Optronics made one.
