Q: iMac 27" 5k and second monitor

Hi guys, I just bought iMac 27" 5K i5 3.3  with radeon M395 2Gb, i would like to know if I can connect my 27" LCD Philips monitor that runs at 1920x1080 as second monitor and if so, which connection cable should i use.

The iMac can power two external monitors, I have a non-retina 27" imac with a external LG.

 

As to cable, it depend on the outputs the Philips has, it may be one of the following: VGA, DVI-D or HDMI  or any combination of these. So you would need an adapter that goes from Thunderbolt to one of the above. The VGA being the third option as it not a digital but analogue connection.
