Question

You can’t open the application “Photos Agent” because it is not responding.

A friend has shared an icloud album. When I click on the 'subscribe' button a message pops up saying 'You can’t open the application “Photos Agent” because it is not responding.'

Any ideas what I do and how I can view the pictures?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

You might have to ask the organizer to re-send an invite to you -- Get help using iCloud Photo Sharing and shared albums - Apple Support

I don't think that's the problem, I've had an invite from someone else too and also can't view their pictures.

I can see them fine on my phone, just not on the mac.
