Create kids accounts on iPads
What is the best way to open an apple account for kids on iPads? At the moment I use my own account and they get all my messages, photos etc in there iPads

while there is a way to allow your kids to DL free stuff from the app store without your password I found I was spending a lot of time not knowing what they were downloading, filling up the device with and if this system circumvents them buying "100 gems for $100.00!" so my preference is an angry bird in the hand not worth two in the @$$.

My kids use my old iPad, which is linked to my account but it's locked down, with everything I can turn off, off. They see nothing of my, not of the options under iCloud are turned off.
