ibooks hides sentences when personal hotspot connections are active

when at least one connection is active the personal hotspot; i noticed that ibooks hides (part of) sentences at the end of the page. it seems it has to do with the size of the screen and the blue bar that indicates active connections did anyone else have similar experiences?
