How can I discover which of my photos have not been put into albums?

I just put all my iphone photos into my macbook iphoto. They did not go into the new import slot they are all in 'all photos'. I would like to figure out which photos are not in albums already so I can organize them into albums easily. Please advise.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

One option is to create a Smart Album. Open Photos, use the File menu item New Smart Album and set the condition to Album is not Any. That album will then display only those photos that are not in an album other than the new Smart Album.
