Q: Cannot edit Raw images from Canon 80D in Photos

Photos for Mac

On importing Raw images from a Canon 80D into Photos edit them as notice says Photos does not recognise these files

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

A:

you have to get up to date - you are about 6 updates behind - you need El Captain OS X 10.11.6, Photos 1.5 and Digital RAW commpatibility 6.20 - Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

That camera is not supported on the version of software you have
