Q: Apple Music on Android vs last.fm

Does anyone know how can I scrobble music from Apple Music on Android to my last.fm library? I tried to use some last.fm scrobblers but none of them worked. I'd like to start using AM because of its very correct tags for songs but without such an option I will not do that, unfortunately. Help me, please! Or tell me what department I have to get in contact with to get a response from.

Thanks.

You can't. When you are subscribed to Apple Music you can listen by streaming, or you can download songs for offline listening. These latter cannot be transferred to another device or another library, because of the DRM which ensure that if you stop subscribing they become unplayable.

Hmm... Last.fm is not a device where you can listen to music taken from other ones. It's just an online Music database which shows stastistics of music that I have listened to. If you don't understand, take a look:

    http://www.last.fm/user/not_for_me

It's compatible with all music streaming services except for Apple Music.

I see - you mean it's not a player, but provides information. However that presumably requires you to submit the track to it in order for it to access the metadata? - from Apple Music's point of view I suppose that would be regarded as the same thing: not that they've specifically limited Last.fm but that access is limited to iTunes on authorised Apple devices. You could send feedback to Apple asking them to make this possible, but I have my doubts whether they would consider it. http://www.apple.com/feedback/apple-music.html

You know, if all others Music streaming services (including iTunes!) support last.fm, it should be an essential condition to encourage people to use AM.

I'm at the same board. I really liked the Apple Music interface, but I need the Last.fm scrobbler. So I'm still using another stream service
