Playing a soundtrack for several slides, then stop.

Hi all,

i am trying to get music into my picture slideshow. Neither as a soundtrack for the whole presentation, nor for only one slide. I want to have 10 slides play one song, then have a blank page without music (birthday speech 1 to audience), again 10 slides playing another song followed by a blank page without music (birthday speech 2) and so on.

Searching the internet just brought me lots of tutorials for older keynote versions, showing multiple pictures on one slide being automatically played as slideshow.

Somehow i am not able to get multiple pictures onto one slide so that i can just add a song to that one particular slide.

So how can i add 10 pictures to one slide that play automatically?

Using Keynote 6.6.2

Thanks for help

Cheers

Keynote is unable to play a sound file across a group of slides. However the workaround is to play the sound file over a group of images on a single slide:

  1. Inspector > Document > Document: in the Presentation type dropdown menu select: Normal
  2. drag and drop the sound file on to a new slide
  3. Inspector > Animate in the Start dropdown menu select: After Transition
  4. drag and drop the images onto the same slide as the music and size and position the images
  5. to play the content automatically: click and drag over the images to select
  6. Inspector > Animate > Build In, click the Add an Effect button and choose an effect
  7. click the Build Order button and in the Start dropdown menu select: with Previous Build
