accidently deleted wifi network?

My daughter was attempting to forget a wifi connection from a neighbor (friend) that allowed her to use theirs until she got her own. (because it was still trying to connect back and forth between the two). Now she can't find the wifi settings at all... HELP!!!??

if the profile was deleted it will need to be recreated or restored from backup.

if backup is not present you will need to reconnect to the network and use the credentials required.

if the wi-fi is local to your system you can often browse to it and find what the requirements are if you have not written them down or remember them, otherwise resting the router should restore the defaults and it can be reconfigured.

Thanks for the quick response. It looks like you sent instructions for joining a wifi network, which isn't what I meant. there is no wifi option on the laptop anymore. no icon at the top, and no wifi settings option under the pc settings. there is a network set up option, but again no "wifi" as a choice in the dropdown either... any help would be appreciated.
