Q: "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes"

Hi. I have iOS 9.3.4 on my iphone 6 and, through several software updates, battery usage refuses to ever populate, no matter how long I've been using my phone. I just always get the message, "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for  a few minutes." This has persisted even through a reset of my phone & then a restore to my backup. I cannot figure out how to fix this - is anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions?

Fully charge your battery.  Then use it for a few minutes.  Then you will be able to see the statistics.

I get that same message on occasion, even after I have used the device for over hour or more. I charge my battery to 100% every single night, so I don't think that's is the reason why I see it. I believe in my case it is an anomaly that crops up now and then. It's not a bug or many, many more people would be reporting the issue.

You said that you "reset" the phone and then restored a backup. Perhaps, you have a corrupt setting in the backup and restoring as new might fix it. Have you considered that option? Have you reset all settings? Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. The device will reboot and you will have to enter all settings agin in the settings app and that includes WiFi network passwords.

I charge it to 100% every single night. This has been going on for a while now.

@demo I'll try that, really hoping it works. I have reset all settings now, just gonna charge up to 100% & see what happens then?

Was really hoping @Demo's suggestion would be the solution - I reset all my settings and started from scratch on settings. Charged up my phone to 100% twice since then, and have used my phone for hours afterwards. Same message under Battery Usage, "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes." So, unfortunately, this did not resolve it. =(

I'm sorry that it didn't work for you. Have you thought about closing all apps but one, use it for a while, then try again and see if you get the correct reading? Maybe you have something funky going in with one app that is causing the issue.

If it's not an app or a setting, the next step would be to backup the phone, restore to factory settings and then restore the backup. I recommend using iTunes because that way, you will download and install a clean copy of the iOS software.

if you don't use iTunes and rely solely on iCloud, you can erase the device and load the backup, but this method does not give you another new install of the iOS software.
