iCloud status on iTunes

Hello,

Last week I decided to store my music library on iCloud.

My iTunes searched for Apple Music content, songs match to iTunes content and if else it uploaded the other songs to my iCloud library. After that I added the "iCloud Status" column on iTunes and I was able to see three kinds of status ("Uploaded", "Matched" and "Apple Music").

Some of my songs were purchased by me and they were not recognized by iTunes. In other words iTunes uploaded them to my iCloud library instead of matching them to iTunes content (with Metadata information).

It's just annoying me because I want Apple Music to recognize my music and not playing it through the internet.

Is someone know what should I do? Is there any way to change manually the "iCloud Status"?

Thanks.

Take a look at About iCloud Music Library icons and status - Apple Support for background.

Your existing content will be uploaded if it cannot be matched. In some cases you might be able to tweak the metadata, remove the items from the library, add them back, and have them matched, but there is no obvious method to tell iTunes to have another try at matching them. Uploading takes a little longer than matching, but once done the effect is the same if you try to access your library from a different computer or device. You have access to your tracks to stream or download as required. Your own content should download to a different library or device without DRM but anything tied to Apple Music will be protected and cease to be available as and when you cancel your subscription.

Hi,

I presume that you subscribe to both iTunes match and Apple Music. Itunes match and Apple music scans your iTunes library to determine what be matched or needs to be uploaded. iTunes match uses audio fingerprinting not metadata. Apple Music has recently been changed to use the same matching process. This process does not alter the music already on your computer.

Tracks previously purchased from iTunes store should show iCloud Status as "Purchased" but some might be "Matched" or "Uploaded". If you can, you can delete tracks that were uploaded and redownload them from previous purchase.

You cannot manually change iCloud status.
