Q: Redirect path

Hello, I would like to know if is possible to do this:

I need to work with paths like in windows in my osx el capitan.

I have a partition in my computer in osx : "/Volumes/P" Would be possible to do a path that when one application is searching in "P:/myfolder" automatically redirect to "/Volumes/P/myfolder"?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

What is P:/myfolder? Looks like a Windows drive mapping which doesn't exist on OS X, so I don't know how any application would "browse" that at all.

You can create an alias (or a symbolic link) that points to any other folder or file.
