Q: Macbook pro can detect but can't connect to wifi network from a distance.
I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) which has OS X El Capitan. I started having this issue around the start of 2015 and it persisted after I updated to mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan. I am able to detect and connect to network when I am in close proximity to a router. However, if I were to move further away like to the next room, it disconnects from the network and I can't reconnect even though the network is still detected. It shouldn't be a hardware issue as I am able to connect to wifi networks just fine using the windows partition. I have also replaced the wifi card but that hasn't solved the issue. I've had this issue for a really long time so if anyone knows of possible solutions I would be really thankful! Thanks for taking the time to read this.
