Aug 10, 2016 12:20 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by Allanne,We are looking to possibly use FaceTime to have Video Conferences between practitioner and patients. We are located in Alberta Canada and in Alberta the software for healthcare systems has to be PIA compliant. I'm assuming it's like HIPAA Compliance in the US and PHIPA in Ontario Canada. Hope that gives more clarity.

Aug 10, 2016 12:28 PM in response to Allanneby ChrisJ4203,Since the data for FaceTime is not saved, and the data is encrypted at both ends, I'm guessing that it would be compliant as far as privacy is concerned. However, I suspect the Canadian Government would be able to address what devices would be compliant with their regulations, since they would be the ones to test them. If not, they would probably be the agency to approve testing of any device for use with that system.
One other point to make, understand you are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user support forum, so if you need a definitive answer from Apple, use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. There is a link for Apple legal, if you need them involved, but me thinks the easier method is to check with Canadian Health Care, whomever writes the regulations.
