Q: Contacts

Why did some of my contacts revert back to numbers only and how can i correct them back to names?

iPhone 6, iOS 9, partial loss of contact names.

    Hi there mwobrien1,

    Thanks for joining Apple Support Communities! It looks as if just some of your contacts names are missing on your iPhone 6. Since I haven't memorized a phone number in ages, I truly understand the need for the names to appear. I'll be glad to help!

    iCloud -- The first thing I'd like for you to do is check the iCloud website. This can't be done on any iOS device, so you'll need to use your computer's browser (www.icloud.com). Log in and click "Contacts" to confirm the names are still there.​

    Get help using iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders -- If the contact names are there, use this article to refresh the contact on your iPhone.
