Q: How do playlists work?

   Can playlists, in iTunes,  be nested? Can you treat them like folders?  I would like to create something like

Classical > composers >  Types > Instruments.   I've tried to make an example below, but it's hard with the limitations of the key board.            

                                                                             Violin

                                                       Concertos <

                                       Vivaldi <                           

               Classical <                         Hymns     <

                                       Bach   <                           Organ

                                                         Symphony <

                                                                                Orchestra

     You might imagine a similar branching for, say, Marches,  or Country.
