Q: Cannot search iTunes store

I am using iPad Pro, with iOS 9.3.4, on my home private wifi network. Date and time configured correctly on this device. Correct appleID is set up with iTunes Store and with Apple Music. Safari cookies set to "allow from websites I visit".

I get no results when trying a search in the iTunes Store, just a blank screen. The searches are for common pop tracks.

Searching in the App Store is working fine and giving me expected results.

Can anyone help restore the search function in iTunes Store?

    Hello Milind Arolker,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to be able to rely on your store apps working as expected, especially if you listen to music as often as I do. I'd be lost without it.

If you haven't yet, let's force the iTunes Store app to close and open it again: Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Another step to do can be signing out of the Apple ID in Settings, but if you have songs saved for offline listening, those would be removed by signing out. You can sign out under Settings > iTunes and App Store.  Tap your Apple ID and select sign out. Afterwards restart you phone and then sign back in.

If you run into any more trouble or if you have any questions, let us know. The whole community is here to help.
    Best Regards

    Hi Ulexes138

Another step to do can be signing out of the Apple ID in Settings, but if you have songs saved for offline listening, those would be removed by signing out. You can sign out under Settings > iTunes and App Store.  Tap your Apple ID and select sign out. Afterwards restart you phone and then sign back in.

This advice worked, and I was able to restore the search function in the iTunes Store.

However, the problem recurred when I clicked "Show in iTunes Store" for a given track in my iTunes library. It seems more likely to recur if the track in my iTunes library is no longer available in the iTunes Store!

Thanks, i signed out of App Store, forced and cleared all items and did a hard reset.

    Everything is good!
