New ITunes Sign In Information

I recently received a notification from Apple stating that my ITunes account hadn't been used for some time, and that they were obliged to shut it down, unless I signed in, and updated information about myself. I went into the site, and they were asking for images of credit card, photo id, and me holding them. Is this legitimate?

It's not from Apple, iTunes accounts don't expire (and needing photo id ?), it's a phishing attempt trying to get your account and payment details.

If you went to their site and entered your password you should change your it immediately via http://appleid.apple.com - after changing it : What to do after you change your Apple ID email address or password - Apple Support.

You could also forward the email to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com , and then delete it.
