Q: iMac Keeps Restarting. Can't update
I have an iMac Mid 2011 and have upgraded it to 16GB 1333 MHz DDR3 a couple years ago. It started to restart on it's own when I upgraded to Mountain Lion. When I returned the iMac to be fixed by an insurance company, they swapped out the hard drive and I've then upgraded it to Mavericks. Yosemite has created it to restart all over again so reverted it back to Mavericks. I am now trying to upgrade it to Sierra Beta or even El Capitan but can't get it to download anything. Restarts after a couple minutes when I watch Netflix, faster when I try to download an update. It can last no more than an hour when I leave it idle.
I've searched for reasons and tried some solutions but not sure what could be the issue.
Have removed it from APC surge and directly plugging into outlet, not any better.
Ran the following in terminal:
syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CReq 'Channel t|GPU D|I/O|n Cause: -' | tail | open -ef
then got this returned: kernel[0] <Debug>: ** GPU Debug Info End **.
Does anyone know what could resolve the restart issue? Only use it to watch Netflix while working on my laptop. Any help is appreciated. TIA!
