Q: ATV4 Playing music in BG while reading or playing game

Can you listen to music in background while playing some puzzle game ?

I used to do this on factory tvOS 9.0  , but ever since the update to 9.1, as soon as I press play/pause in game (which many of them requires) , the music in background stops.

 

Before , even if I play video on youtube, as soon as I press stop , music resumed.

 

Apps that I used for music are : Music, BatRadio and FExplorer.

Game I mostly played is Dragon Mania ....it requires play/pause for zoom in/out, yet it stops the music.

 

 

Please, bring back this function!

    I'm not home to check, but I suspect the behaviour might vary by app. It could well be an unintended consequence of some change in tvOS that affects some apps and not others depending on which APIs they have used to control background audio. I'd get in touch with the developers of the apps you play because I suspect each may need to address the issue individually.

    I suspected that , too. But it's sad , as it is much useful feature, one I've been using since my iPad 1 , and hopefully would like to use on ATV4. It should be the most common multitasking thing , shouldn't it ?  Thank you in advance for your effort!
