my son locked up his sisters iphone .

My daughter gave her iphone 5s to her brother after getting a new phone . He has sucessfully managed to lock it up by forgetting his new passcode ( novelty ) . Cant factory reset as the home button is broken and she cant remember the answer to one of her security questions when I try resetting through her apple id . Any help would be much appreciated , I have enough grey hair

If your daughter set a rescue email address, she can reset her security questions herself. Follow the instructions here to check whether this option is available to her:


If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions - Apple Support


Otherwise, she will need to contact Apple Support.
