Restore the iPhoto library to your computer, launch Photos with the Option key held down, click on Other Library, and choose it.

Thanks Niel! I try to do it but it does not work. I put Option key down, chose other library, then chose Time Machine, Backups, etc. and finally iphoto library. There seems to be a problem with rights, but I only get a sign: not allowed.

All other things are available in Time machine, documents, songs etc. The problem seems to be the iPhoto->Photos change. There´s a banner icon on iPhoto logo, see pic. pic.png

You need to choose the iPhoto library, not the application, and restore it from the backup before opening it. The copy on the backup drive can’t be loaded straight from it.

The library is located in the Pictures folder of your home folder by default.

    Thanks again Niel! I think I pic2.png

did what you said, but theres still a problem. After clicking iPhoto Library I got this:

Free translation: When fixing the rights there was a mistake. Photos couldn´t fix the Library´s rights.

Where was the iPhoto Library located on your hard drive when you got that message?

    Try the following:

1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.

    2 - apply Option #1, Repair Permissions.
