Connecting Apple TV with Time Capsule

• Install VLC in AppleTV
  • Make sure Airport is on same WiFi network as AppleTV
  • Any shared drives will appear on Local Network tab, select your airport
  • User will be :: admin
  • Password will be the disk password you setup on your time capsule
  • Click Save
• Open AirPort Utility on Mac > Click on Time Capsule > Edit

Try the VLC app. According to the guff it should be able to find any network sources based on SMB which the TC can do.
