El Captain update deleting files

After this update a whole bunch of my files were missing. Thank goodness for time machine as I was able to rescue those files!!! I was able to see via time machine that these files were missing in the backup beginning right after this update.

Anyone else have this issue? Not sure if I should remove this update or not
