Why does it keep showing unknown artist?

I'm putting non purchased songs to my iTunes music and then i edit the song info like the title, artist name, album name, and the artwork. But the problem is that it keeps showing unknown artist on my iPhone music after I already entered the artist name on my iTunes through my Windows computer. Why is it doing that?
