How do I make the individual artwork for each song from a compilation album show when I browse my playlists?

I get a lot of my music from Soundcloud where individual songs are released by artists often with no albums.

As a result, when adding these songs to iTunes I make the album name for all of them SoundCloud despite the fact they each have different artists/track names/artworks. When I select the option to indicate the song is part of a compilation album, although the individual artwork remains in each song and displays when I play the song, when viewing my playlists, the songs from my SoundCloud compilation album will only show the compilation album artwork rather than the various individual artworks for each song. How can I get iTunes to only display each individual artwork?

You cannot while keeping them as part of the same album. If you want each individual tracks art to show then give them a unique combination of album title and album artist. If the tracks are going onto an older iPod then album titles need to be unique.

Thanks, your response was helpful.

Although I'm disappointed because it doesn't make sense to manually create 500+ unique albums for songs that all come from a single place (SoundCloud) just so I can view their unique artworks.

Seems like it would be an easy feature to include (ie: when editing the information of a compilation album have a checkbox for whether the individual track artwork should be shown or not.

Hopefully Apple will fix this in a newer update.

You can tell Apple what you'd like via iTunes Feedback but I don't think there will be any change. I have many singles that I list by their song name as album title complete with the correct art. That way each artist is properly represented in my library. I might have downloaded them from a number of different places like iTunes, Amazon, my own CDs, and even some vinyl imports, but I cannot see it would make any sense to lump them into one album called Singles any more than I see a good reason for you to treat all of your Soundcloud tracks as a single album. Do it if it suits you by all means, but accept that as far as iTunes is concerned an album can only really be represented by a single artwork image.
